COVVI Robotic Hand

In this section, we will guide you through the key components of the COVVI Robotic Hand and its associated products including the Robotic Control Interface. We have provided technical summaries for the benefit of users who want to understand their device better, and for everyone else to see for themselves what sets COVVI Robotics apart. We also get into the specific features of the hand itself including the wrist system, thumb design and the hand covers that you can choose from.

As COVVI Robotics continues to evolve with our ongoing research and development, we’ll make sure to keep this page regularly updated with new information on features and design changes. Keep checking in with us on this page to ensure you know about the latest iterations COVVI Robotics has to offer.

The COVVI Robotic Hand

Why It’s Right For You

Designed to be used by a variety of robotics systems, including Cobots (Collaborative Robots) and Humanoid Robots, our highly-capable hand is customisable to each and every operator.

Intuitive and easy to use, the COVVI Robotic Hand can withstand the strength and speed pressures required in industry and academic environments.

Technical Specifications

The multi-articulated lightweight hands (1.03 kg) operate with next-level grip force (110N) and speed (0.4s Tripod grip) capabilities. These features, alongside the individual digit control capabilities, result in a lightweight hand that does not sacrifice dexterity or power.

We have over 24 programmable grip patterns ready to configure in our Grip Library, accessible through our ROS 2 (Robot Operating System 2), Python ECI API.

Grip Patterns & Features

As well as the individual digit, our robotic hand is preprogrammed with 14 standard functional grips modelled after the most common human grip patterns, accessible through our ROS (Robot Operating System) 2, Python ECI API.

Ethernet Control Interface

The COVVI Ethernet Control Interface system connects your COVVI Hand via an ethernet connection to any Windows or Linux system, giving you the power to remotely control and integrate The COVVI Hand seamlessly into robotic systems.

Glove Design

At every stage of the design, we have thought about how robotics need to respond across different industries and environments, so we ensured that COVVI was not only compatible with today’s technologies but could also operate in harmony with them at an acceptable level.
