Key Features and Functionality

Human in Design
Our robotic hand has been designed with years of experience in replicating the human form, mimicking actions to produce natural movements. The COVVI Hand’s basis on biological models has innovated our robotic design, providing increased knowledge and effectiveness of grip mechanics and movements.

Versatility
A humanoid hand can adapt to various tasks; from simple actions such as holding and lifting, to complex actions like typing or playing musical instruments. This versatility increases robot applicability in different fields, such as; healthcare, manufacturing, and service industries.

Human Robot Interaction
Humanoid robots that use five-fingered hands can interact alongside humans with ease, as well as operate in environments designed for human use. COVVI’s design facilitates intuitive interactions through pre-determined grip patterns, similar to how humans use their hands.

Dexterity in Movement
Our five-fingered gripper allows for a wide range of movements, enabling robots to perform tasks that require fine motor skills. This includes the picking up of small objects, manipulating tools, and performing delicate operations.

Grasping Capability
Opposition of the thumb and flexibility of the fingers in COVVI’s Robotic Hand allows for a variety of grips, enhancing its ability to manipulate objects.

Control and Feedback
Our five-finger grippers are designed to provide feedback about force and positioning, allowing for better control during manipulation tasks. This can enhance the robot’s ability to handle objects more carefully, which is critical in applications such as medical robotics or sensitive assembly processes.

Ongoing Research and Development
Research into robotics, biomechanics and AI can be supported through the implementation of COVVI’s Robotic Hands within Humanoid robots. Our mission is to serve as a system to aid the ongoing research and development of new technologies related to human-like movements and coordination.

Object Recognition and Handling
COVVI’s Robotic Hand could also be used alongside advanced sensors to enable a robot to recognise various objects and determine the best way to grasp. This research can support the development of robotic incorporation, especially for automation in environments where robots work alongside humans.

Our focus at COVVI is ensuring the functionality, adaptability, and usability of our advanced robotic hand across various applications and industries.
